Update:
Over the past twenty-four hours, we have had some technical issues dealing with the network this server is on.
SPRY, our network and server provider, attempted a routine back up procedure early Monday morning, and should have been done in a matter of a few hours. However, for some unknown reason, that backup continued on for over 24 hours before the process was killed by SPRY.
The backup was using over half of the available resources on the node, causing this site and numerous others to run excruciatingly slow.
We are back up to speed again for now. I am sure the technicians are looking into what happened and will make sure that it doesn’t happen again.
So all’s well, that ends well.
