Theme Tinkering [update May 5, 2007]

Site News

Over the course of the next few days, I am going to be tinkering here with the layout. Sometimes it might look radically different here than you are used to. I will be testing out some designs by other people to see if there are some aspects I would like to steal   errr, copy from them.

I am trying to come up with something that is not only lightweight, but that is also viewable in all browsers — including the inferior IE6

So, as I put the different themes up here, I will also post the names of those themes so that if you have a comment about them you can mention the theme name so I know what you are talking about.

The Current theme:

Equal Time v 2.1 beta

[Update #1:  I have settled on the current theme you see here.  There was a period of time this evening when there was a PHP error due to me upgrading the server to PHP version 5.2.0.  For some reason, the server balked at the update, and your browser didn't recognize the file type.  Obviously, that problem has been resolved.

I need to know if the page is being displayed properly in IE 6 or not.  None of my machines have IE 6 installed on them.

I will be working off and on throughout the weekend, getting all of the features back online here.  (Yes Frank, I will have the Site Meter up and running for you)]

Oh, and our sitemeter and access to the site email and flames, did I mention flames? This site DOES load a lot faster though.

I like it Franko, and it does load faster than the other. Oh yeah, Mandigo.

You did say to mention it.

Hey Frank, I like this one better!

BTW, how many votes you lookin’ for anyway?

  5. franktheliberal Says:

LOL!! I DO know I’m not sure that this is our site. I like flames and colors and out pictures and a sitemeter and access to email and other than that, what ever makes this site easy to see and navigate. But thanks for the comment Dad, we’ll settle on something soon. As for how many votes, right now ONE vote carries the election.

I am not done yet. I have a lot left to do, including the login page.

As far as the page loading, SPRY is working on the load balancing of the server since it was replaced last week. I upgraded the PHP module here last night, causing some initial problems, but I think that is fixed now — or at least I hope it is fixed.
