A while back, I wrote that the GOP was dying. I think it’s time to order flowers for the memorial service. That was when the spokesmen for the GOP were Sarah Palin, Joe (not his real name) the plumber (he’s NOT a plumber) and the “maverick” McCrazy’s bus was so full of lobbyists they had to ditch some luggage. Things have deteriorated a bit since then.
NOW, oxi-rush and Glenn (nuttier than squirrel turds) beck and john the boner and mitch Mcfillibuster are the big communicators. Bobby (Piyush sounds …..”foreign”) Jindal lambasted spending money on the US Geological Survey’s volcano monitoring device upgrade a couple weeks before a volcano blew up in Alaska. The GOP supports torture. They recently killed spending for a flu pandemic preparation and are filibustering the confirmation of HHS Secretary Katherine Sebelius just as an outbreak of deadly swine/bird flu is exploding. Bad timing, as usual. Taxcuts, teabagging and calling President Obama nasty names is all they got. The latest poll has President Obama at 69% job approval. To quote the Texas treat and professor of bullflopology, “Doctor” Phil, “How’s THAT working out for ya?”.

Senator Arlen Spector (R-PA) Switched parties today and is now a Democrat. This is NOT a huge surprise, as Joe Biden and Governor Ed Rendell have been working the magic-bullet man for quite some time.Not to be TOO much of a cynic here but the good Senator was facing a big GOP primary challenge in the land of Penn. So it’s pretty much of a solid fact that he did what is best for him. AND the other fact is that no matter WHAT kind of Democrat he will be, at least he stated publicly why he did what he did. The GOPers nastied them selves out of ANOTHER seat. They are dead and this is yet more proof that the GOP is dead and can’t stop digging themselves deeper. So who’s next? After the last eight years,this is REALLY fun.

The GOP is dead. Two basic reasons are the purge of moderates / rino’s and the changing demographics of the country as illustrated in the last election. This change will continue to grow as the conservative element dies off. The youth and minorties will no longer support a party hijacked by the religous right, that want to mix religous ideology and politics by forcing their views on everyone. The party of obstructionist and no will continue like sheep to follow the Limbaugh’s and Hannity’s ill given advice to the grave. The last nail in the GOP’s coffin will be the reintroduction of the McCain-Kennedy Comperhensive Immigration Bill. Thirteen to thirty million illegals given the right to vote and most will be registered Democrat. Now that will change America!

VERY well said and right on the money! What’s left of the GOP is a corpse of ancient ideas that have been proven wrong to the point that it is just pathetic watching These knuckleheads trying to sell their crap with a happy-face button on their lapel.If these imbeciles had synapse present, they would shut up and follow the lead of bright, smart young people like Megan McCain. But we all know better than that. I feel that like America’s reputation that they destroyed, it will take generations for this evil bunch of cretins to crawl out from under their slimy rock again.The only support they have left are the perpetually pissed off white supremacists and the evangelitards. Their only chance of any electoral success is in the old confederate states where people reside who hate the United States so much they honestly WANT to succeed.Pathetic!
