UPDATE!!! HERE’S the link. He was AWSOME!! As I mentioned on the previous post about Rep. Kucinich’s articles of impeachment, I called his DC office to express my support for his resolution. While I had them on the phone, I asked about the possibility of having Dennis on our show at some point. I mentioned that a few months ago, he was in Tacoma and he was supposed to call us on the air, but of course being a hot commodity and we being Democrats and all…. Well, Traci and I went to the venue after the show and met and shook hands with him. I mentioned that we were sorry he couldn’t call the show and he said that we would try again later. I’m willing to bet that he remembers that brief encounter because he cares about people and is also a really smart guy.
Guess what we’ll be talking about? Again, as I mentioned in the previous post, he stood on the House floor for over four hours making his case for impeachment point by point with well documented evidence with laws and constitutional references backing him up. We’ll also ask about the responsibility of congress to head the oath they took to preserve,protect and defend the constitution against all enemies, foreign and domestic. He has scheduled a full half-hour. It should be an interesting and informative hour, join us.

Yesterday (6/09/08) Dennis Kucinich (D-OH) spent over four hours laying down a case for the impeachment of bush. Read about this HUGE story HERE. You can read this extraordinary document HERE. This bush crew has literally gotten away with murder under the noses of both GOPer AND Democratic congresses. Nancy Pelosi has been a chump for the bush bastards and done their dirty work FOR them in that she has allowed them to go about their evil business and has by her weakness and cowardly silence,enabled them. If she thinks this is good for the country OR the Democratic party, she is as jaded in her congressional bubble as bush himself. There is a train of thought that there are Dems in congress who knew about ALL of these attacks on our constitution AND we as citizens. There are things that transcend personal political careers, like the very soul of our nation and the soul of civilization itself.

There comes a time when we as Americans MUST express our outrage to our elected officials. NOW is one of those times. As an American citizen, I would ask YOU to call Rep Kicinich and tell his office that we support his resolution, HERE’S his contact information. THEN, you HAVE to call your congressman to express (respectfully, of course) your support for this resolution. Let them know you are serious about our laws and that NO man is above the law, not even a bush.The soul of our nation is at stake as well as our ability to sleep at night.

After many weeks of a hard fought Democratic primary campaign (which we have said VERY little about) the three of us engaged in a spirited ten second debate. Now it’s time to hug each other and make up so that we can work together to save our country from the dark, sinister forces of evil that threatens to destroy what’s left of our once proud and respected nation. The Democratic primary is FINALLY over and Senator Barack Obama has prevailed. Read about it HERE,His was a gracious and inspiring speech that praised his opponent and her work on issues that have made our country a better place for ALL of us. He addressed over thirty thousand in the venue that will host the GOPers later this summer. He talked about McCranky and the disastrous policies his party espouses that have brought our country to it’s knees. My daughter and I sat together watching history being made. It was very exciting evening…..until Senator Clinton spoke. We watched and she was building and building and then she said “I will be making no decisions tonight.” We looked at each other with our mouths agape. She congratulated the Obama campaign and then said THAT.Check it out HERE. OK. The fact remains that Senator Obama has the delegates necessary to clinch the nomination, he was then placed in the uncomfortable position of declaring a much deserved and hard-fought victory without his opponent conceding. NOW, it looks like he is going to be forced into approaching his unsuccessful opponent, hat in hand, to ask her to convince her supporters to join him in blocking McCranky from finishing our country off. Bizarre. At SOME point our country, our party and our very existence as a NATION has to be considered by Senator Clinton and her supporters. I hope that IF those considerations are important to her, she do something SOON to unite our party against the dark, sinister forces that have US on the verge of total collapse. Bill and Hillary Clinton are REALLY smart and good people, and so are those who supported her. I pray that they can channel their disappointment and anger toward the GOPers and NOT toward the nominee.

It’s no secret that talk radio is loaded with right wing hacks all around the country. To SOME of us it is also no secret that the vast majority of these over-paid GOP mouth pieces are really quite stupid. They parrot talking points produced daily by conservative “think tanks” like the heritage foundation. Some say that Hannity can’t get through a segment without a WHOLE bunch of this kind of material right in front of him. Despite what the Clinton campaign may say about fox news, they might not be the kinds of people one might want to be associated with. They say that if you lay down with dogs, you get up with fleas…..or Nazis. Here’s a report on a good friend of sean’s, the “association” thing sean likes to drag Sen Obama through. Nice guy. He’s on fox cable and over 500 radio stations,polluting the PUBLIC airwaves with his mindless attack drivel.
There are quite a few young ideologues with good hair and not much under it, like KRLA’s Kevin Jamison. Now here’s a guy broadcasting on a major market radio station with a big stick. (powerful transmitter) Someone decided to allow him to go on a major cable news show, Spitball with Chris “the spitter” Mathews armed with nothing besides a “key phrase”, appeaser, in regard to a statement made by bush in Israel. Poor Kevin, all he was supposed to do was call Barak Obama an appeaser as many times as possible, but Mathews was having none of it.Kevin yelled over Chris and screeched “APPEASER” several times and Chris finally had enough. He tried many times in vain to get this sneering screechy kid to tell us what Neville Chamberlain did wrong….. but he didn’t KNOW. Watch the poor kid get his ass handed to him HERE. Remember, this spiky-haired sneering kid is broadcasting in a major US media market, and represents what right-wing radio is all about;Get the talking points out and smear, smear and sneer.
Just when you think you’ve seen the bottom of the septic tank,someone gets a shovel and starts digging. Mike Savage (some folks call him mikey weener) is known for his rotten mouth,hateful “commentary” and reich-wingers LOVE him. But the very DAY it was announced that Ted Kennedy had a brain tumor, the weener went into production. He came up with a piece of inhumane garbage that defies basic human decency. If you have a strong stomach see it HERE. The crap that went out over the PUBLIC airwaves that day defies everything that supposedly separates us from animals. It was heard on over 500 RADIO STATIONS!!!
Mike Huckabee claims to be a man of GAWD. He is a genuine southern babtist,ordained minister.He professes to spread the gospel and spread the love of jesus. Well, HERE’S Mr love guy spreading SOMETHING at the NRA convention. A “joke” about someone aiming a gun at Barack Obama was SO loathsome that not even the camo-clad gun humpers at the NRA thought it was funny.
Kevin James is a pathetic,dumb guy who can be forgiven for those two reasons, he’s pathetic and dumb. Hannity can be forgiven because he is also a pathetic. Oxi-rush….well, I guess it’s the drugs and megalomaniac personality disorder. But Huckabee. This guy’s mind WENT there. He heard a noise and his mind went to someone pulling a gun on the black guy. This supposed christian went to a place so dark and evil that the people who laugh at a dying animal flopping around on the ground bleeding thought was in bad taste.He can try to laugh this off and do a mea culpa, but this is one twisted, warped creepy person who should just keep out of public and seek deep counciling and perhaps medication.
As for weener…. not only did this crap cross his mind, he had to PRODUCE it. He went into a studio with this idea and intentionally wrote it all out and edited it. He probably laughed when he played it back. THEN, it went out on the AIR. On over 500 radio stations. MILLIONS of people heard it and probably laughed too.
I can’t compete with all of this. I can’t make my mind GO to the dark, sinister,evil places where these “moralists” go. Not even for something as vitally important as the next election. So that’s what we’re up against. We, as liberal talk show hosts and the American people. Brace yourself, the moralists are coming.

Yep,Tom Loeffler makes number five, FIVE people working for McCain’s campaign who have been forced out because they do lobbying work for dictatorships and other REALLY bad clients. Read the Wa Po article HERE. This run of forced exits from his flopping campaign speaks a volume or two about his judgment. Poor John must not be too concerned about who works for him, and must not be too careful about vetting them. MOST of the activities of these lobbyists have been to represent FOREIGN interests. From the Burmese military dictatorship to the Saudi royal dictatorship, the worst regimes on earth are well taken care of by John’s friends. Senator McCain claims to be well-versed on foreign policy and the ability to lead our military. He claims to have judgment and a maverick streak. So, what’s next? Are we going to find out that he has people working for him who advocate for Castro? Al-Queda? It would be nice if he had at least a couple people in his campaign who are DOMESTIC lobbyists. Maybe a nice asbestos or dioxin lobbyist. I admit that it makes me a little nervous knowing that a guy who obviously has NO idea who works for him or any concept of the vetting process COULD become the president. I am even MORE concerned that he doesn’t care.

This week, we were honored to have Senator Maria Cantwell (D-WA) join us. We talked about upcoming hearings on the oil futures market and their effect on the price of oil.HERE’S

We also talked about the GI Bill sponsored by Jim Webb and their planned consolidation of THAT bill and Maria’s “GI Bill for life” bill to help our vets when they come home. (FINALLY)

We are proud of Maria and the work she does to keep us safe from energy predators, and when they DO screw us, to hold them accountable. Keep up the good work Maria, we will soon be sending you an adult, LUCID president to work with. We can only imagine the good work you will be able to do then.

That’s right, Bob Barr is mounting a bid for the presidency. He quit the republican party a couple years ago because I guess they started doing stuff he didn’t like. Such as radically expanding government like no one else in history. They have spent us to the point of a massive depression, and de-valued the dollar to the point that oil is about to be universally traded in currency other than petro-dollars. They spy on us without warrants, torture people at will without reason and have just plain brought our country to it’s knees, all for money. OH and he HATES the war.

Bob Barr is everything a good republican could want in a candidate. He was the leader of the house impeachment team that got Bill Clinton. He was having an affair the whole time he was attacking Clinton and despite being publicly pro government-forced birth his FIRST wife said he forced HER to have one. We can only hope he can convince Ron Paul to be his running mate. The leadership in the GOP HATES him. Now that alone is reason for us to sing his praises. It might be a good idea to give Barr a few bucks to encourage him. Oxi-rush wants chaos? let’s send the GOP a Barr/Paul riot. heh heh heh

Anyone who knows me, or listens to our show KNOWS that not even a case of lockjaw can keep me from talking. Today, Skip Dreps from the Northwest Chapter of Paralyzed Veterans of America presented and read a resolution from the board and membership making Audrey, Traci and I honorary members of their fine veterans service organization. It is with no small amount of pride and humility we accept this honor from the brave fighting men and women in this fine organization. Words failed me today,and we thank you and ALL veterans and active duty military for your service and keeping us safe. We are proud to have earned your sponsorship and support,and rest assured that we will continue to fight for the rights of ALL soldiers and their families to be treated with dignity and due respect. We also had a visit from our Senator Patty Murray (D-WA) this week. Senator Murray has been the best friend veterans have in the Senate. We talked about The VA and the “discrepancy” in the estimates of suicide attempts among our veteran population. Senator Murray told us about a bill pending that would help slow the astounding rate of suicide and also the new GI bill proposed by Senator Jim Webb (D-Virginia). This bill has 56 co-sponsors from both parties and divergent Senators like Bernie Sanders (I-VT) and leiberman (I- CT).

There was a remarkable piece of legislation signed by bush called Wild Skies. This sets aside over 160,000 acres of lowland wilderness in our state forever. It took Senator Murray and a host of others nine years of negotiation to accomplish this feat.

Toward the end of our interview with Patty Murray, she praised our efforts to help veterans and their families. Well, there we were speechless again.This was an informative and emotional show. No matter what we will continue advocating for service men and women. Like we said, this is NOT a Democratic OR Republican issue, it is an American issue.

Yesterday as the returns were coming in, North Carolina for Obama and Indiana (barely) for Clinton,Traci and I were on the phone to each other and I groaned that this darn primary reminds me of the Bill Murray movie “Ground hog Day”. It never ends. I have strong opinions about this situation that I won’t write about here, but I WILL say this: oxi-rush’s much self-touted plan to disrupt the Democratic process IS BS. IF he has such clout with the GOPers, Hillary would have won Indiana with a LOT more than a one point spread. Ya see, rush and I have a different take on Republicans. I don’t think Republicans are stupid. Although I am a Democrat, I know that the majority of Republicans are just as adversely affected by the bush/cheney policies as are the rest of us as Americans. THEY see a war for oil without end, THEY pay three times as much for gas as they did before bush, THEY see the ten trillion dollars borrowed from China and the Saudis,THEY know our skyrocketing food and fuel prices are largely the result of manipulation by commodity traders and hedge fund managers AND they know whose policies and deregulation caused all of this misery. THEY are having their jobs sent overseas, THEY know their kid’s schools are failing and falling apart, THEY are losing THEIR medical insurance and being foreclosed on by crooked banking and mortgage policies. THEY see the result of seven years of bush rule and they also see the need for change. Whether they vote for Clinton OR Obama, they realize that the only ones among them (Republicans) who are benefiting from these idiotic policies are the richest one percent.
In an interesting twist, despite McCain being the presumptive nominee, he only got between 73 and 75 % of the Republican votes. The other 25 % went to Huckaby and Ron Paul. Maybe oxi-rush should concentrate his efforts on convincing his listeners to vote for Republicans. heh heh heh
